Having grown up in a bicultural household (my mother is Greek-Cypriot and my father is English) has instilled in me a love for different cultures and languages.

In my spare time I enjoy reading and watching movies & TV series, let me know if you have any recommendations! I am also a huge Manchester United fan, so I would be more than happy to have a conversation about football!

I am a certified TEFL tutor with experience as a teacher's assistant in a primary school where I helped a group of children that were struggling with English and other subjects.

Myself and the pupils would take it in turns to read paragraphs from a chapter of a story. I would help them with their pronunciation of certain words as well as testing their understanding of the passage. Through my help, the children were able to read sentences aloud fluently and summarise information correctly, this allowed them to join the rest of the class with harder tasks.

In my spare time at University I volunteered to teach English to international students who struggled with their coursework. This included reviewing their written assignments and providing guidance on pronunciation while they were preparing for presentations.

More recently, I have worked at a sports marketing company, where I have taken part in business meetings with clients.

These experiences have given me a lot of flexibility in my teaching approach; I am able to adapt to the specific needs of my students, whether they are looking to improve their conversational skills or build their business vocabulary.

My methodology includes using real-life examples and scenarios, and encouraging active participation from students. I do understand that there are different ways to learn, so each student will have their own learning method.

Having studied languages at school I understand how intimidating it is to speak in a new language. It is my goal to make these sessions fun and enjoyable.
