I do 50 minutes classes starting on the hour.

I am so sorry but I do not do 25 minute classes.

I have over 10 years of teaching experience and a Master's of Arts in Teaching degree from Tufts University. I enjoy working with students and letting them speak for themselves. I like to incorporate videos from YouTube into my lessons, and I like to find interesting subjects so that we have something to talk about. If the class is interesting, and I get to participate, I enjoy the class, so I make my classes into places where the student is engaged and forming language most of the time.

Some guidelines for all students: My classes are 50 minutes long. Periodically, I assess my students ability to better understand their level, and their strengths and challenges. Generally we will do a combination of dialogue, targeted lessons, occasional projects, and examining articles, news, or videos from outside sources like the BBC, CNN, educational youtube channels, and blogs like grammarly. Each student has a customized learning plan. Students take screenshots of the information at the end of the class, and use them to study. As a teacher I get new ideas all the time, and a better understanding of the language. My students actually help me become a better teacher.

For beginning students, I teach using conversation, context, stories, and lessons the attach vocabulary to experiences. For advanced students, I'd like to focus on teaching professional English. The phrases you use in professional settings a little bit different that how you speak in casual settings. I would to show you how professional English is different and what you should and should not do.

I've taught a variety of students with different ages and levels of English comprehension. I am excited to help you improve your English-speaking skills. I believe in practice, practice and more practice, to help you to speak and write better. I also speak Spanish and Arabic and I can translate into those languages if needed. I'm sure you will enjoy learning with me. I am also an artist, salsa dancer, bike rider, and I play guitar.
