INTRODUCTION

Hello, my dear KOREAN learners! :) I am Olivia. I am a full-time KOREAN/English tutor. I’ve taught English at language schools for about 10 years and now I am teaching both the languages online.

Currently I’m living in Germany and learning German. So I understand what it’s like to learn a foreign language from nothing! I’d say, it’s quite challenging but it’s also a very fun and exciting journey. I hope my learners will feel the same way, learning KOREAN or English.

ME AS A TUTOR

I think the most important quality as a teacher is the ability to encourage learners. Learning a language is not always easy and there are ups and downs. And it requires quite a bit of efforts and dedication. I believe that a good teacher makes learning more pleasant even when learners bump into obstacles, and makes them feel comfortable and relaxed, so that they can speak without feeling nervous. So I try to be a good listener. I also try to make each class fun and helpful with lots of preparation.

MY CLASS

I have some course books that I mainly use. But the biggest strengths of my class, I think, is flexibility. I try to provide tailored classes to each individual student. It is ideal to improve all four skills (reading, listening, writing, speaking) but every learner is different and has different learning styles. So I try to respect those differences. Whether you’d like to focus on free talking or to follow a course book in a more systematic way, you just need to let me know :) And I can provide lots of homework so that you can study between classes and develop all skills together.
