I am a native speaker of Turkish and I hold a master's degree in Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language. I am also an English teacher in Turkey. I am currently teaching Turkish to foreign learners on a one-to-one basis. To me, teaching Turkish has been a lot of fun and this reflects on my lessons.

I consider myself as a well-organised teacher with a plan on mind. I tailor my lessons to each student's needs and I leave some space to be flexible and work on what comes up spontaneously during lessons. I place a big importance on student- centred lessons so that one-to- one sessions do not get boring for the learners.

I mainly focus on developing learners' speaking skills no matter what level they are, so I plan a considerable amount of structured speaking activities. I give feedback on pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary so that the learner not only practises speaking but also becomes aware of his/her mistakes and learns something, too.

I also prepare grammar lessons going from mechanical to more productive ones especially for beginner level learners. I produce my own grammar materials as I believe most course books lack extensive grammar explanations or structured exercises. I provide all materials for learners including a course book, workbook, audio files and my own practice materials.
