Hi everyone my name is teacher Nam from South Africa. I have been teaching English for the past 4 years now. I have a strong passion for education and I am always keen to learn new things just as much as I enjoy teaching. A few words to describe myself: I am friendly, energetic, flexible, a fast learner, self motivated, respectful , responsible and a hard worker.

In my spare time I like to listen to music, baking, read English books and watch my favorite English tv shows.

I am an economics graduate from the University of Johannesburg. I also have a 120-hour TEFL qualification.

I have been teaching English for the past 3 years of which I had the opportunity to teach both in my country and abroad in South Korea. And because of my teaching experience abroad, I have interacted with a vast number of people from different countries. I have a passion for education and I love teaching children, young adults and the elderly.

When it comes to my teaching approach I really like to tailor my teaching approach to the individual students needs. I really believe that every student has varying individual needs and I’d like to get to know them and tailor my classes to what works for them. As a teacher it is important to develop relationships with the students and constantly motivate them by providing a supportive learning environment and acknowledging and rewarding effort. It is also very important to be patient and nurturing towards students.

To all my potential students out there, I think we are going to have a lot of fun together and I always make sure my classes are educational, meaningful and memorable. I have the ability to explain complex terms in simple terms and I believe in activity based learning.
