Hi my name is Fia. I have 3 daughters

In my spare time, I love drawing, painting, reading and travelling. I also practise yoga and meditation and I love to hike. Other interests include: shopping in thrift shops and creating vegan dishes.

Although I teach English as a second language to all age groups here on Preply, I am presently a teacher in a school in England too and have been for 26 years!

I specialise in developing writing skills and communication skills, especially with the goal of passing school entrance exams, which is where my expertise Iies. I tailor-make lessons with the interests of my students in mind, in a warm and friendly manner.

So if you require proficiency in writing, fluency in conversational English or you would like to improve your grammar, I can certainly raise your attainment and fluency in these areas and have fun at the same time!

I have a teaching degree and teach in a lovely school in England. Many of the children have English as a second language and this inspired me to complete a TEFL course, as I really enjoy teaching English as a foreign language.

I’m really excited about teaching English to students of all ages.

I love being creative when teaching using props, role play and lots of speaking and listening activities, where necessary, alongside lots of discussion and writing practise if required.

I diagnose any areas for improvement and create lessons to address them effectively, through conversation and writing and include homework for reinforcement.
