About the tutor
Hello there! As your tutor, you will find that my style is one of support and guidance, with lots of patience. My key objective is to help you to master the maze of the English language, so that you too can become an English master!
I was born and raised in South Africa which was a British colony for centuries and where English is the national language, I have no accent (in other words, a neutral accent).
For adults, my 40+ years of experience in training in business can really help you. The types of classroom training done when I was with IBM, XEROX and others is there to help you grow. Looking forward to working together with you.
For our lessons to be really effective, I need to understand why you are taking English lessons, as well as knowing what your work/business needs are when English is needed there.
My methodology is to build you up "one brick at a time" to build your English fluency "house". This means working on your listening skills, increasing your vocabulary, improving your pronunciation, developing your grammar and communication skills. To do this, I have a huge library of materials available to me.
Your lesson plan is prepared with your needs in mind, and the materials used are chosen according to the work you do as well as your interests and hobbies.
In addition to my 4000+ hours on online English teaching experience across several platforms, I am fully TESOL/TEFL qualified and have additional certification in Business English.
At the end of the day, your targets are my targets. Together we will work on helping you improve.
