Thank you so much for coming to my profile today. I am a well cultured individual that has had the unique opportunity to travel much of the World. I enjoy learning about new cultures and places and especially how History has impacted the development of a community. Starting from a young age I have always been fascinated by History and how civilizations have developed, prospered and then later declined. One of my favorite Ancient Civilizations is the Indus Valley in present day Pakistan due to being such a well-advanced society whose disappearance is not well understood. I also enjoy learning about and discussing World Politics, reading and occasionally writing articles. I have now been on Preply for 18 months and have greatly enjoyed meeting individuals from all over the World. Although I do not have any pets, I hope to get a dog one day 

I offer four courses on Preply that students can choose from: World Civilizations, Events in World History, World Politics and US History. These are courses that I have individually designed with my own materials. The courses are set up in a way that students can watch videos in advance, read scholarly articles, and then during class we can have a more in-depth discussion. My experience with teaching History is fairly extensive as I had first started as a classroom teacher through Teach for America in 2011.

I also offer English classes for those that do not enjoy History as much. For English classes, I choose to use the Preply material which I find to be very useful for students of all levels. I have taught a broad range of students English on here ranging from young children to much older adults. I have had some students consistently continue to return for over one year.

Having a solid understanding of History can help us to better understand the World around us and why things in the World are the way they are. I have seen a lot of improvement with students that use History topics to practice English and feel that this is an excellent way to improve English skills.
