Hi, my name is Lisa and I am a qualified TEFL teacher with ten years experience. I live in a beautiful village just outside of Sheffield. Sheffield is in the north of England and is famous for being a very creative city. When I'm not teaching I like to walk my dog in the countryside, escape into another world with a good book, cook exotic dishes and enjoy a nice glass of wine in my lovely garden.

I also enjoy exploring new places and different cultures. I feel very lucky as I have been able to travel to many different countries across the world. I lived in Indonesia for three years, and have also volunteered in Zambia and Ghana.

I have been teaching for ten years and feel incredibly lucky as teaching has allowed me to experience so many different cultures. I taught at English First in Indonesia for three years. During this time I taught a range of different levels and ages including IELTS, TOEFL, Business English and Conversation English. For the past seven years I have been teaching one-to-one online lessons, which I really enjoy as it enables me to build a good rapport with my students. My classes are extremely engaging, fun and active.You can expect a lot of conversation around current events/issues and the opportunity to learn lots of interesting vocabulary. I tailor every lesson for each individual student, as we're all different and what might be interesting for some won't be interesting for others. I also work with my students to set goals and review progress, this ensures motivation is maintained.
