About the tutor
I taught Business English, soft skills & interpersonal communications for the corporate sector back in 2011, for two years at a Singaporean tourism training institute.
Today, after completing my under-graduation from La Rochelle Business School, a post-graduation from Kedge Business School, and a 'Teaching English as a Foreign Language' certification from The TEFL Academy, I am independently launching a new career in teaching General and Business English.
I am a science geek! Astronomy and cosmology can give me goosebumps and a shiver running down my spine, haha! History also makes me very nostalgic too!
My teaching offers a personalized integral development learning style, focusing on the three linguistic components: pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar, as well as the four language skills: speaking, reading, listening, and writing.

I have taken the exam twice and managed to achieve a perfect band score of 9 in the reading module and an overall score of 8. I took the exams unprepared and made silly mistakes, which could have been avoided in order to achieve at least an 8.5 overall score. I will be happy to train my students on these details so that they can tap into their potential and achieve a higher score.

American English
My high school under the American education system equipped me to use American English comfortably, to differentiate between American English grammar/pronunciation and British English grammar/pronunciation. Although I speak with somewhat of a neutral accent, I will be able to help you if you wish to work on a global North American Accent. Having said this, I always highlight to my students that their English should be understandable with good pronunciation rather than trying to copy an accent that's unnatural to them.
British English
My primary and secondary schooling was under the British education system, GCE Ordinary Level. I will be able to help you improve your listening and speaking skills in British English. British English in written and spoken form can be significantly contrasting. When compared to American English, we see differences in grammatical structures too. In British English, you can use the modal verb 'shall' when giving information about yourself in a future context. An example: I shall be in the gym till late. In American English, we find usage of 'will' or 'be going to' in such situations.
