About the tutor
Hi, my name is Pipa and I'm originally from the UK. I have taught English in the classroom in Italy, Spain and South Korea and have lots of experience with IELTS preparation, Cambridge exams, Business English and general conversation classes. I also have 2 years online teaching experience.
I currently live in the mountains of Portugal on an organic farm and grow my own fruit and vegetables. I have two adorable donkeys, two rescue dogs, eight cats and am a huge animal lover! I'm passionate about environmental conservation and natural, healthy living. I love being outdoors in nature, gardening, walking, cycling, good music, art, cooking (vegetarian) traveling, yoga and festivals.
I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures. In previous jobs I have been a wildlife warden, tree planter, yacht deckhand and chef.
I have 4 years of English teaching experience, am CELTA certified and have taught all abilities in the classroom and online. I have a warm, friendly, and informal approach and my lessons are fun and enjoyable. I gently correct mistakes and encourage students to help them gain confidence with their English skills and I can help with pronunciation.

I have a lot of experience teaching IELTS classes and know their format and expectations.
