Hi everyone! Shalom!

My name is Shahak, I am 27 years old and I am a native Hebrew speaker. I was born in Israel but I currently live in London. I am studying at King's College London, and working as a Hebrew tutor.

I offer modern Hebrew lessons that are mostly based on day-to-day conversations, exercises and grammar. Based on my experience, my aim is to teach you Hebrew as it is spoken in Israel today in order to give you a level of competence to be able to travel around and understand a range of topics. In addition, I include cultural aspects as part of my teaching so you shall expect each lesson to end up with a Hebrew song or poem!

In my classes, we mostly speak Hebrew. Obviously, part of the explanations will be held in English in order to grasp and understand the rules and grammar. Not only that, but you shall expect a summary to be sent to you after each lesson with the topics discussed in class. Homework can also be sent to the ones who want it!

By studying with me you will be able to read road signs, menus, and posters, as well as catch snippets of conversation that are part of this competence.
