I am Krisztina. I am a native Hungarian speaker, avid reader, and language learner who currently resides in Hungary.

In high school, I learned English in a Hungarian-English bilingual program and continued my studies at university, majoring in Oriental Languages and Cultures, specializing in Korean studies. I have managed to get my Korean on a decent level, and I also started learning Chinese recently, although I plan to explain myself in English during the lessons.

While helping you start building up your Hungarian knowledge from zero, I try my best to make the lessons engaging and as fun as a language lesson can possibly be. Once the students master the basic grammatical concepts of the language, I tend to move forward with them based on what they need in the first place.

If my students did not set up any specific deadlines for themselves and they agree with this method, we take our time to get used to the logic of this new language with various exercises from early on. But if you have some sort of goal to achieve in a specific amount of time, we go through your plans. Based on your goals, I put together a personalized learning plan that can be completed within the time limit with lessons we have together and a decent amount of personal input.

This personal input from the students' point is crucial when learning a language, so I give everyone some extra activity or exercise to do by themselves. I'm the type of tutor who gives her students homework, whether they request some or not. It's always good to have some tasks to do outside the lessons and practice by yourself as well.

I explain everything with examples to make it easy to understand and learn the material quickly. While working hard on making Hungarian grammar learnable from the very beginning, I will work on refining your pronunciation and improving your listening skills too.

Maybe you will live or study in Hungary and need to learn how to make casual conversations; later on, you may decide it's time to learn the language even more in detail - you might even consider taking a language exam. Or maybe you just want to learn a language for fun.

Either way, sharing knowledge and educating people on culture has always been important to me, and much as I like to get familiar with other people’s languages, I want to share mine with as many as I can. Helping people from all over the world has always made me feel happy, so working with serious, determined students and seeing how they are improving is my pleasure.
