Hi there, I am Lisette (everybody calls me Liza) and I am a German living in a tiny remote village in Bulgaria. Besides offering German conversation classes I also work in translation. I have 3 dogs and one cat and also 1 horse and 3 ponies for the small pony club I run on the side. I also rescue street dogs every now and then for re-homing in Western Europe. To relax, I like to watch Series or movies and I love to read. I used to be a performing singer/songwriter. IMPORTANT: If you don't find a lesson time that suits you in my calendar, please let me know a time that would suit you better (just not in my night time and not before 10 am :)) and I will see if I can make that time available.

I delivered a lot of classroom but also virtual trainings when working for Hewlett-Packard Netherlands (1997 to 2013) to audiences worldwide. I did receive training for this but no certification. Teaching was what I enjoyed doing most :) I have been teaching on Preply for several months now and am now certified language teacher after having completed their course for language teaching.

I am pretty laid back and easy going. Having learned many languages myself (5), I know only too well how it is. My learning of Bulgarian language is still ongoing and I'm learning new words almost every day, just by interacting with the locals. I went to highschool in the US for one year at the age of 14. I left Germany at the age of 18 to become a makeup artist in Paris and lived there for almost 9 years. During that time I also completed a course to become a translator/interpreter for English and French into German. With a management job for a Mexican restaurant chain I moved to Amsterdam, where I then lived for the next 22 years before moving to Bulgaria. So, you can see, I have ample experience in learning new languages myself :)
