About the tutor

Hiya!

My name is Lindsay. I am a native English speaker and am well-versed in the language. I am experienced in helping students improve with their grammar, vocabulary, fluency, pronunciation/accent neutralization, language test preparation, or anything language-related you may need.

Being very interested in the way adults learn, I took up a degree in Andragogy. Also, wanting to understand the way the human mind is conditioned and to tap into its power, I learned Neuro-Linguistic Programming and am a certified practitioner. In awe of speaking the most romantic language in the world, I started learning French a few years ago. So, you can see, I am an avid learner and enjoy the process of learning as much as teaching.

Apart from learning, I like to hang out with my dog. His name is Ghost, and he is just adorable. I enjoy movies/series based on real-life. I also like listening to music, tropical house is my favorite genre.

I have over 15 years of experience in teaching English. I have a master's certificate in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and a masters in Andragogy (Adult Education).

I have taught English to students from every continent both remotely and in person. My style is to first make you comfortable, then assess very casually your current CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) level in English, then come up with a customized plan (that works for you) to help you with aspects that need improvement. This will begin our journey of learning together and from each other. My lessons are activity-based and fun, keeping in mind the principles of adult learning.

I would love to meet you for a trial lesson so we can talk about your current progress, your goals, and also get to know each other better! I am extremely soft-spoken and friendly and can make you feel comfortable in no time.
