Hello! My name is Nessa, and I am from a very picturesque country called Scotland (a country in the UK, which lies north of England). My home country's native language is English and I have been speaking it for over 20 years now.

My interests include international house-sitting, volunteering and travelling/exploring new cultures. I could talk about travel all day and love both meeting and chatting with new people from all over the world.

I grew up in the Scottish countryside for most of my life, and ended up from a young age getting into the active hobbies of horse-riding and dog-agility (ask me about these activities anytime!) I adore both dogs and horses, and since the age of 19, have been dog-sitting and volunteering, with horses around Europe.

My qualifications include being TEFL certified with the International Open Academy as well as now holding a Level 5 TEFL Diploma qualification with The TEFL Academy (which is equivalent to a CELTA/Trinity CertTESOL qualification). I have over 2 years of experience teaching English online as a foreign language (in both formal and informal settings).

I am very persistent at encouraging students to learn all aspects of the language; spoken English, written English and English reading/comprehension skills are all as equally important as one another to become both fluent and accurate in.

I teach from beginner level (A1) up to to proficient level (C1), and am very keen to structure our lessons together in a way that suits your needs best. I can be formal/in teacher mode, informal/casual, or a mix of both at your request.

When talking with students, I enjoy introducing new English vocabulary to them and being able to help them master the correct English pronunciation (how we say a word). Grammar is also very important when trying to speak as fluently as a native; so I can most definitely help you with that too :).

Depending on the student's level of English; I have my own structured lesson plans available, as well as being able to make personalized lesson plans for the student (depending on the chosen subject/topic).

I am a very open-minded and respectful person, and unless you are derogatory or dehumanizing in nature, I will get on well with you.

I enjoy meeting people of all cultures, religions/beliefs, and sexualities.
