About the tutor
Hey! I'm born and raised in Hong Kong, now living in Bali. I've always had a love for books and studied English literature and creative writing in the UK. The people around me would describe me as warm, energetic, and friendly, and I can speak Cantonese and Mandarin, so I can provide some extra language help if it's wanted!
I've taught in India, mainland China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and 100% remotely, all the way from 5-year-olds to 17-year-olds. I also have experience both with following a curriculum and setting my own, with classes upwards of 40 students or one-on-one, so there is a lot of fluidity based on the individual student's needs. I love making classes interactive for any age, whether that be through games or theatre, or just lively discussions. My passion for history, books, art, music, culture, and travel means that subject matters in classes can be very varied and engaging.
A trial lesson with me would be casual and comfortable. I'll work together with you to identify your goals and concerns, and we'll discuss how to move on from there to help you build confidence. You can come just as yourself, or bring anything you want to discuss or are struggling with and I'll help you out.
