During the trial lesson, I always ask about your interests, this way I make every lesson focused on a different topic : history, comics, cinema, art, sports... I can send you a video to watch before, and then I prepare some questions about it, we review the vocabulary together, and if necessary, we do a grammar point for more clarity.

First, we assess together what are your goals: do you need to know the basics for a trip? To speak with a new family member? Or do you wish to learn French to an advanced level?

Then, I make lesson plans so each lesson is a different area to focus on. Depending on your learning speed, we will start having real conversations, back and forth, around lesson 5 to 10. Before we're covering the basics of grammar, still using materials: the present & past tenses, the vocabulary of the house, how to say hello depending on the person you meet and the context, pronunciation... As soon as possible, I send you short videos to practice your listening skills. The first conversations are usually very fun and rewarding for both the student and me!

If your goal is to learn quickly and in an efficient way, I elaborated a program focused on conversation, a variety of materials like videos, articles, image analysis, podcasts... Anything to challenge your brain and improve to your desired speed. When we cover grammar points, I'll send the exercises so you can do them at home, and we only discuss the difficulties you may have so every class is focused on conversational, listening, and reading skills. I also like to use "scenarios" of daily life activities: going to the restaurant, the cinema, travel...

The lessons will be articulate around daily situations you want to be able to deal with: writing an email to a colleague, leading a meeting,... Being in an executive in a big company, i know well this environment. We vary between those scenarios and materials like videos, articles, podcasts to make you as comfortable as possible with everyday French.
