About the tutor
Hi there!! My name is Micol. I am language teacher and a translator.
I love languages and cultures and I am very fond of my beautiful Italian language! I am very enthusiastic, outward-looking creative teacher and if you are looking for someone who can encourage you to learn Italian while getting involved into its culture, I am definitely the right person to talk to!
During our lessons we will focus on pronunciation and communication skills. While learning a new language, it's fundamental to start putting the language into practice. Moreover, we will surely take some time to have a deep look at the grammar as I love my students to speak well.
However, if you think grammar is boring... don't worry! that's not the case!! Italian grammar might sound challenging but I am sure it will be easier for you if we start speaking Italian together from the very first class :)
I generally like giving homework to my students so that they can practice at home what we have learnt and studied together. I am always available for additional exercises and practice material and for any doubt to be solved.
Are you ready to speak Italian with me? :)

Specialties
Conversational Italian
I have been working with International students for years, teaching people how to speak colloquial Italian. I love focusing on topics and expressions they might need, according to their age range and their field of studies or work.
Italian for beginners
Teaching Italian since the very basics is one of my favorite things to do. I love combining grammar together with conversation so that the students can start practicing the language since the very beginning.
Intensive Italian
Studying intensive Italian can be hard but not as hard as it seems if this challenge is faced the right way. I love switching from grammar to conversation, from listening to reading activities, so that at the end of the day the students are not overwhelmed by a huge amount of material but they have the new structures and vocabulary stuck in their mind as the lessons have been progressive and fun.
General Italian
One of the reasons why people enjoy learning Italian is because they are passionate about the Italian culture! Italian food, music, art and literature are only a few of the aspects that my students have always been fond of. In my experience as an Italian teacher I love my students to get a deeper understanding of my culture and I am ready to base our classes on any different aspects students might be most interested in.
Italian Literature
My previous studies at the Grammar school specializing in foreign languages and literatures have definitely helped me to fall in love with Italian literature. I have often taught Italian literature to Italian students too: poetry, novels, Italian language history and development, ... everything concerning Italian literature fascinates me a great deal and when I love something, believe me, it's hard not to get involved into my enthusiasm.
