Communication skills is a very important skill to have. Being able to participate in conversations, and express ideas and opinions at your workplace with confidence is satisfying. Over the years of my career, I have helped students from different backgrounds and cultures become highly conversational through vocabulary expansion, grammar improvement, sentence construction, listening with understanding, etc.

I have taught general English to a class of 10 students. The main objective was to help them improve their listening, writing, reading, and speaking skills. From the assessments and feedback, they obtained the ability to listen, understand, and respond accordingly. They were able to construct correct sentences following accurate grammar rules and their vocabulary had significantly increased and improved.

Taught English as a foreign language to an Ivorian. His goal was to improve his grammar and his overall communication abilities. With personalized and effective lessons tailored to his learning style, the goal was achieved. This particular student was a highly motivated learner and I was surprised at the pace he was learning and how better he got within a short amount of time. One key characteristic I noticed in him is that he would always speak English at every given opportunity, that brought to him improvement and accelerated his learning. His confidence to participate in everyday conversation increased.

It was an amazing experience teaching English as a second language to an Ethiopian whose first language is Amharic. His goal was to become more conversational with the ability to express himself in day-to-day conversations. With suitable learning materials and personalized lessons tailored to meet his needs and learning abilities, we were able to achieve the goal. His vocabulary expanded, his grammar improved, and he became better at constructing sentences knowing the proper use of tenses. He could confidently express ideas and opinions. Also, I got to learn so much about the Ethiopian culture.
