About the tutor

Hej, Jag heter Isabelle.

Im born and raised in a small city by the Baltic sea in the district of Stockholm under the calm 80s.

I have been traveling my whole life and living abroad, both in Indonesia and Serbia.

I studied pedagogy at Stockholm university and wrote my bachelor thesis course at Lund university. Although I’m not a certified Swedish language teacher I consider myself a good pedagogue who finds it natural to motivate and coach.

I have many years working experience as a social therapist for young adults with autism and neuropsychiatric disability. I also worked in a Montessori school for 2 years, of which 1 year as a support teacher for a student with autism.

So who can benefit of a lesson with me?

You who already speak a bit of Swedish and who are looking for a conversing partner to practicing your speech and pronunciation with to keep your language skills updated and fresh.

You who want to learn basic words, expressions and sentences to be able to comfortably understand and be understood while move around in Sweden.

And you who in addition to practice also want to have knowledge about Sweden and the swedes. E.g. how the society/system works, applying for studies/work, help with translation. Which our customs and traditions are, what is typically Swedish, interacting and social rules. Or maybe you want to dive into our exciting history.

I tailor our lessons to fit your needs.

My strength as a tutor is based on individual learning and to coach and motivate you in a fun and learning way.

We mainly talk and find out everything of interest about topics close to you and your needs so that you can apply Swedish in the context you want at the speed of light.

To be honest I’m not a pro in explaining grammar, so if that’s one of your priority I would recommend and other tutor.

Topics close to my heart is first and foremost; Nature, Cooking, Travel & cultures, History, Music & movies, Health, Geography & philosophy and Local/global politics & Society.

So if you are curious to speak the language which has its roots in the wild, deep, silence nature in the north, then I’m happy to discover and join you on your adventure.
