Hello! My name is Antoinette. I’m from Detroit Michigan currently living in Grand Rapids MI. I am a hard of hearing individual who wears a cochlear implant. Without a cochlear implant I am fully deaf. I have been using American Sign Language since I was 11 years old. It is my second language. I have taught American Sign Language formally at a local community college and I teach also to those in my community. I am so excited to teach people American Sign Language because it has truly become the language of my heart and it can become yours too!!

I have been using American Sign Language for over 30 years and have been really teaching it for 17 years. There are not certificates for teaching American Sign Language (ASL) only for those who want to become interpreters. I am very hands on when I teach and I make sure my students are comfortable and enjoy what they are learning with games and fun tasks! I went to college at a deaf university and went on to teach ASL at a local community college.
