I'm a CELTA-qualified, native-English speaker who has been teaching English as a foreign language for 2 years. I've gained experience teaching a broad range of multi-lingual speakers from beginners, to advanced speakers. My most recent English teaching role involved teaching Trinity College London's ESOL Skills for Life at Refugee Action.

I also work as an Academic Librarian at a university in Leeds which involves teaching academic skills development, including the use of Academic English at university. This has given me experience in working with a range of multi-lingual international students.

I approach teaching with a good sense of humour and a fun, friendly manner to ensure you feel as comfortable as possible as a learner. I like to include as much speaking practice as possible, in addition to providing guidance on grammatical rules, appropriate use of English and information about British culture more generally.

I've been learning Italian myself for many years, so I know exactly how it feels to learn a language, and how it feels to be a foreigner in a country where you don't speak the language very well. I'm enthusiastic, friendly, and chatty, and will make learning English an enjoyable experience for you.
