My name is Andrea and I'm from the north of Spain.

I have experience working as a Spanish language lector at a university in the UK, where I've had the pleasure of teaching Spanish for Beginners (A1-A2), an intensive course of Intermediate Spanish (B1), Spanish Upper-Intermediate (B2), Spanish Advanced (C1), and also Spanish for Business!

I’ve always been passionate about teaching, and my true passion lies in the study of language acquisition and bilingualism from a psycholinguistic perspective. I firmly believe that understanding how we learn and process languages can make the learning process much more effective and rewarding.

I'm excited to share my knowledge and experiences with you. Together, we will explore not only grammar and vocabulary but also the culture of the Hispanic world.

In addition to my role as a Spanish language lector in the UK, I also have experience as a Spanish teaching assistant at a Spanish University. There, I instructed international students in Spanish Art, Spanish-English Translation, and Oral Expression and Interaction.

Furthermore, I completed a 100-hour internship where I helped both international and local students achieve their language goals through the Tandem method.

Regarding my teaching methodology, I prioritise the students’ individual needs. However, I would describe my approach as highly communicative, as I like to emphasise the functional dimension of language and its applicability to everyday situations.
