Why I become a Chinese teacher?

I love sharing knowledge; I love guiding you to find your way to learn Chinese; I love inspiring you to be a better self through exploring new things. Being a good teacher is not an easy job: patience, passion, persistence. I will try my best to be a good teacher and make every student enjoy learning.

What I can teach?

It depends on who are you.

*For little kids (3-5 years old): lesson materials mainly include flashcards, songs, stories, and props. The lesson purpose is to activate kids' attention and interest, and cultivate kids' bilingual ability.

*For kids and teenagers (6-16 years old): lesson materials mainly include textbook (e.g.,YCT) and workbook (e.g., YCT). The lesson purpose is to teach basic Chinese, such as pinyin, character, and grammar. Practice is an important part, and I will give some lesson exercises and homework in order to help you deepen Chinese memory.

*For adults (above 16 years old): lesson materials mainly include textbook (e.g., HSK), Workbook (e.g., HSK), and quiz. The lesson purpose is to teach basic Chinese and advance the understanding of Chinese culture. Adult learners can set HSK examination as the short-term goal that motivates to learn Chinese (but my lesson will not be exam-oriented, I focus more on developing four Chinese skills—speaking, listening, reading, and writing).

I have three years of teaching experience.

My lesson philosophy is to "let it happen". Everyone has the different way to learn knowledge, thus I will guide you to find your way and learn Chinese comfortably. In addition, I am a very happy person and will make Chinese-learning more fun and relaxing. A good emotion benefits our learning.

The trial lesson could help us know each other and discuss your intentions and goals of learning Chinese, and also show you my teaching style and the learning environment. I look forward to our first meeting.
