i love Desmond !! every Tuesday my kid is so excited to take his class , every time i look at him during the class he acts super well , he is the best actor in my opinion . he works great with kids from 5 - 10 years old, but i'm sure he can teach anyb ....

About the tutor

Hi my name is Desmond and I've been professionally acting for over 10 years.

I received my BFA in Acting from SUNY Purchase where I received the Presidential Award for Excellence and graduated with honors.

Since then I've been acting and teaching theater in New York City.

I am a certified Shakespeare teaching artist with Hudson Valley Shakespeare and through them had the privilege of teaching at acclaimed institutions such as West Point Military Academy.

Acting is my joy and teaching is truly a learning experience for everyone involved, I love this and I love to work and watch people grow. It's a pleasure for everyone involved and I hope we can work together soon.

Theatre
I have my BFA in stage acting from SUNY Purchase's Conservatory of Theatre Arts.
I graduated with honors and the Presidential Award for Excellence.
I've been working professionally in New York City and the surrounding area for 10 years on stage.
Film acting
Film training was apart of the required curriculum for my BFA training and I've worked in film and TV for the past ten years. It's an entirely different skill set than stage performance and something that I can help you to refine and hone.
Method acting
Method acting is a technique that is largely misunderstood and I'm not sure why they have this as a separate category. I have trained in Stanislavsky and am proficient at The Method but it would be one of many schools and techniques we would use to achieve your desired outcome.
