About the tutor

Hello y'all! I am a very friendly tutor that can help you start your Japanese study, prepare for job interview (I had been an interviewer for 4 years), assist your homework, and so on!

I currently live in Arizona, the U.S., and teach Japanese at a college. Before coming to AZ, I was in Texas, also teaching at a college and earned Master's degree in Applied Linguistics. I have more than 3 years of experience in teaching young adults.

If you would like to have an intensive Japanese course or a quick catch up before the new semester starts over winter break, fall break, or summer break, let me know! I can arrange something :] There are more available spots opened up during school breaks!

I was an exchange student in Colorado, US, for a year when I was in high school, so I understand how hard it is to learn foreign languages, but also know how FUN it is to communicate with people from other countries in other languages!

I am looking for motivates students who are 17 years or older.

I am from Kyoto, Japan, so if you are interested in Kansai-ben (West side accent), you are welcome to ask me :D

I would like to have fun speaking Japanese with you!! :D

I have taught Beginning level and Intermediate level Japanese. I am certified as an English and Japanese teacher in Japan.

Even if you don't know ANYTHING about Japanese, that is totally okay! I am excited to start your Japanese studying journey with you :)

For the beginning and intermediate learners, I use the Genki textbook, the most used textbook in US colleges.

For advanced-level learners, I can help with anything you are interested in.

Book a trial lesson with me to discuss what your goal is. I am flexible in the frequency of lessons.
