Conversational English is a staple of having a good foundation in spoken English.

I have been offering an English for Business / the Workplace course since 2015.

I have been preparing students for both the IELTS Exams:

*IELTS Academic Exam

The IELTS exam is very popular and I have prepared many students for this exam. One of my students is now studying Marine Biology at the University of British Columbia and was accepted with her IELTS Academic score. For the IELTS, we will always aim for the highest score (9).

I have been offering an English for Business / the Workplace course since 2015.

I teach English for Beginners.

English for Beginners will help Beginners to master the basics. The focus is on vocabulary acquisition and basic grammar.

I have been speaking Canadian English, which is one type of American English accent, since I was born. I have studied accent shifts in Canada and the U.S. and the Canadian accent in the Toronto area is the same as in California. This is due to migrations into Toronto, which used to be called the City of York, from California. Additionally, I have taught American English since 2007.

I teach Linguistics to Advanced students who are interested in learning about the language on a deeper level. Often this information is blended in with more practical English language instruction that can be used on a daily basis.

*Word "Adoptions" (For Example, resume is an English word that was taken or "adopted" from French.)
