I use a combination of casual conversation, articles, podcasts, discussion questions and other media sources in lessons to provide students with a variety of different sources of English to practice their speaking.

I can help you to increase your confidence at the workplace by practicing the vocabulary and phrases needed in a variety of common workplace situations and help you to improve your vocabulary in your specific field.

I have helped students prepare for the four bands of the IELTS exam. I can help you to assess your current level of English and develop strategies to improving your score on a particular band or on all of the bands.

I have experience helping students prepare for interviews and translate and improve resumes. In our lessons we will explore common vocabulary used in interviews as well as the correct cultural etiquette when interviewing for a job in North America. We will work together to create a template that you can use to prepare for various different interviews.

I have experience working with children who have no prior background in English. Using a combination of flash cards, call and response activities, worksheets, and videos I can help your child to go from zero ability in English to being able to have simple conversations in as short as six months. I can also help children how have already had experience studying English continue to improve their skills to an intermediate level. Lessons will focus on reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

Reading literature is an excellent way to improve all four of the main English skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Together we can choose a book appropriate for your level and use it to explore English vocabulary, grammar, and culture. We will discuss various themes in the book and have discussions about important plot points.
